In early 2004, Bryan while playing bass in a Salt Lake City
band "
HOOGA", he decided he needed a change. It was time for his own music, something he had put on hold to just play in a band again. 5
songs had already been written in a previous incarnation of NirDeth called Mother May I. With this in mind he had to come
up with a name that defined the music. Going thru his CD's one day he noticed he had every Megadeth and Nirvana album. Those
2 seemed to define alot of what he was doing so NirDeth became the name.
Now came finding the right people to play with, people
with the same influences. Bringing the hard edge, with the ability to switch gears in a heartbeat.
In November 2004, NirDeth played it first
gig to a sold out crowd. Then its second gig for record executives. Now with the great feedback from the record
companies, They set about recording the Blind The Reaper demo in February 2005. The demo sold over 500 copies in the first
2 weeks and has had "Whats He Gonna Do Now" played on the Salt Lake City radio station
KBER 101.
By late 2005, after playing shows constantly,
NirDeth needed a break but before they did they recorded a live show at The Underground. It sold more than the first with
KBER again playing a song this time "Atonement".
The band has still not lost its edge, and the
unwavering need to bring this music to anyone and everyone............
NirDeth will Rock on the world............
Mission Statement :
We think ths says it all...........
NirDeth has been combining the
heavier side of rock with groovier side of well rooted classics since November 2004. Through a handful of various lineup changes,
the music has remained the foundation of the NirDeth conception.
The vision of NirDeth is unwavering
in its pursuit of a form of metal that is not to overpowering, nor too "top 40" and watered down. Accessibility is the key
to this driving music that can take you to a heightened perception or show you the darker side of life in the change of tune.
NirDeth is in the planning stages of
studio time that will definitely bring much deserved awe and recognition to the current lineup of NirDeth and we anticipate
that you will enjoy it immensely.
Thank You, NirDeth
